Kate Moss’ fiancé Pete Doherty was reportedly involved in a bloody brawl with an Italian photographer on Monday night (23.10.06).

The Babyshambles frontman was drenched in blood after coming to blows with the paparazzo Andrea Venturini outside his Rome hotel, following his performance at the famous Piper Club.

Witnesses said Doherty, 27, jumped on the photographer and punched him repeatedly before the pair were separated. One witness is quoted by Britain’s Sun newspaper as saying: “Pete got hit in the face – blood was pouring out.”

Venturini said: “He came at me like a madman. There was no reason. I had to go to hospital.” But a spokesman for Doherty said: “Pete totally denies that he instigated a fight with a photographer.”

Earlier in the evening, the band stormed off stage when a member of the crowd threw a bottle at the Babyshambles’ drummer’s head - after Doherty threw his microphone stand into the audience.

At the end of the gig, Pete pushed over the amplifiers and drum kit, and smashed another microphone stand.

Doherty lashed out at a second photographer on his arrival to Britain’s Stansted airport last night (24.10.06) and broke a flash gun.

Doherty entered rehab last month and is said to be currently clean from his heroin and crack cocaine addiction. Kate, 32, has agreed to marry the rocker if he stays clean. It has also been claimed the model is pregnant with Doherty’s baby.

The father of Madonna’s adopted son has claimed he never agreed to give up his baby.

Malawian crop-worker Yohane Banda, father of 13-month-old baby David, has said he only agreed to let the singer raise the child on his behalf until he was old enough to return to his family.

Yohane is quoted by Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper as saying: "Had they told us that Madonna wanted to adopt my son and make him her own son, we would not have agreed to that. "It would have been better for him to continue staying at the orphanage because I see no reason why my child should be given away forever when I can feed him."

Mr Banda’s apparent U-turn comes as a legal battle is about to be launched by a human rights campaign group that Madonna sidestepped Malawian adoption procedures. Madonna, 48, met baby David while she was visiting Malawi earlier this month and last week she was granted foster care, with a view to adopting the child. David's father took the 13-month-old baby to an orphanage after his mother died because he felt he could not look after him properly.

Madonna and her director husband Guy - who already have a son together, six-year-old Rocco – will now raise David as their own. Madonna also has a ten-year-old daughter Lourdes from her relationship with personal trainer Carlos Leon.

The ‘Careless Whisper’ singer reveals marijuana helps inspire him but admits it can be a “terrible drug”.

In an interview with ITV, during which he openly smokes a cannabis joint, he said: “This stuff keeps me sane and happy. I couldn’t write without it. I’d say it’s a great drug – but obviously it’s not very healthy.”

He added: “It’s very good for creative people. But it can be a terrible, terrible drug.”

The 43-year-old pop superstar admits cannabis has dampened his ambition but is the only drug he doesn’t regret taking.

Among the most serious allegations made in the court papers lodged by Heather's lawyer are the accusations that Paul pushed her in into a bath while she was pregnant, shoved her over a coffee table and during one row poured red wine over her head and then stabbed her in the arm with a broken wine glass.

Malawian baby David will keep his full surname Banda Mwale as his middle names, and will also take his new mother’s maiden name Ciccone as a third middle name.

Yesterday (18.10.06) David’s father Yohane returned to his work spraying potato crops, for which he earns 54 pence a day. Speaking from crop fields in blistering temperatures, Yohane said: “I’m not really missing David because we have agreed with Madonna that he will visit us here in three or four years time.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are planning to wed at George Clooney's Italian villa next month.

The 'Top Gun' actor and former 'Dawson's Creek' star are said to have decided to tie the knot at the luxury £1.4 million pad on the shore of Lake Como after enjoying a holiday there last weekend.

It is believed Katie, 27, and Tom, 44, opted for an Italian wedding because it was in Rome where they confirmed their relationship with a very public kiss on the set of ‘Mission: Impossible III’.

According to local newspaper reports, the date of the big day is November 23 and the ceremony will be conducted by a local mayor.

Yesterday (15.10.06) a source said: "The wedding is scheduled for mid November. Kate had looked at various hotels but the venue is set to be George Clooney's villa."

The couple - who have a five-month-old baby daughter, Suri - are also rumoured to have purchased one of the three properties Clooney owns in the Northern Italian village of Laglio for £3.5 million.

Clooney often invites his Hollywood pals to spend time at his Villa Oleandra residence. Previous guests include Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and his partner Angelina Jolie and Richard Gere.

Eddie Murphy is reportedly set to wed former Spice Girl Mel B next month.

The couple, who have been dating for around four months, will marry in a lavish ceremony at the Hotel Roosevelt, in Los Angeles.

It is believed Eddie, 45, and Mel, 31, are drawing up a guest list of star friends they want to attend the nuptials, including Mel’s former bandmates Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Mel C and Emma Bunton.

The former Spice Girl has told police she is being shadowed and is terrified for the safety of herself and her baby daughter, Bluebell Madonna.
A police source told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “Geri believes she has a stalker and is absolutely terrified. “She has seen the same person following her several times and it is making her very jittery.

“She was in a very agitated and anxious state and officers had to clam her down. As a new mum, it must be pretty frightening and she doesn’t want to leave anything to chance. She is being ultra cautious for the sake of baby Bluebell.”

Police interviewed Geri for over 30 minutes and are believed to have advised her on how to improve security at the £2 million home in North London which her close friend George Michael is letting her live in for free.

It is not the first time Geri has experienced trouble with an alleged stalker.
In 2001, the 34-year-old singer fled her West London apartment after it was broken into and trashed. Reports stated that the break-in could have been carried out by an obsessed fan.

Mel Gibson went home and got drunk after being arrested for drunk-driving.
The ‘Lethal Weapon’ actor – who was over the legal limit when he was pulled over in Malibu in July – claims that was the moment he realised he’d hit rock bottom.
Mel, who launched into an anti-Semitic rant during his arrest, revealed in an interview with US TV show ‘Good Morning America’: “I just went home and saw my kids were there. I talked to them for a little bit. And it was a little rough that morning and I chased it down with a few cold ones.”

The father of the toddler named Davie Banda - whose mother died of complications during birth - revealed last night (10.09.06) that the 'Hung Up' singer had picked his son during a visit to an orphanage in the underprivileged African country.

Yohane Banda - who lives in a one-room mud hut – revealed: "I'm very happy. As you can see there is poverty in my village."

The 32-year-old farmer has not personally met Madonna, but he was told that his son was being adopted by a "famous US musician".

Angelina Jolie has sparked a race row by playing a mixed-race woman in her latest film.

The Hollywood beauty has been cast as the widow of murdered US journalist Daniel Pearl in ‘A Mighty Heart’ – which is being produced by Angelina’s partner Brad Pitt.

The casting decision has angered black campaign groups who are furious a white woman has been chosen for the role.

Eva Longoria has been injured on the set of 'Desperate Housewives'.

Her publicist, Liza Anderson, said: "Eva slipped on one of the stairs coming out of her trailer. Nothing is broken, but her ribs are very bruised."
Despite the injuries, the actress was back on set within a matter of hours.

Madonna was greeted by a crowd of singing Malawi orphans when she visited their orphanage yesterday (05.10.06).

The singer and husband Guy Ritchie were serenaded by a group of 28 children on their arrival to the village of Kondanani.
Orphanage director Anne Chikhwaza said: "She and her husband are very lovely. She has a kind heart and she really wants to help."
The orphanage is home to 128 children, many of whom have lost one or both parents to AIDS.
Madonna, 48, is in the impoverished African country to promote her project Raising Malawi, which aims to set up an orphan care centre to provide food, education and shelter for up to 4,000 children.

Paris Hilton and Shanna Moakler, ex-wife of Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, were involved in a fight during the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Paris - who was recently spotted kissing Travis - filed a police report in the early hours alleging that Moakler punched her in the jaw at Los Angeles’ Hyde nightclub. Meanwhile, Shanna gave a police statement claiming that Paris' ex-boyfriend, Stavros Niarchos, pushed her down some stairs.

The ‘Simple Life’ star’s publicist, Elliot Mintz, claims that at approximately 1.10am his client was approached by Shanna who screamed obscenities at her and then punched her in the face. Mintz added that Shanna had to be restrained by several people to allow Paris - who he insists never retaliated against her assailant - to leave the nightclub.

Mintz said: "I would encourage Paris, with the consent of her attorney, to seek a restraining order against Shanna to prevent any escalation of this irrational and dangerous behaviour." Following the incident, Paris went straight to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Division where she filed a report alleging battery.

Madonna is to adopt an African orphan, according to the Malawi government.

The 'Hung Up' singer flew into the African country yesterday and, according to government spokeswoman Adrina Michiela, she picked out a one-year-old boy from a shortlist of 12 to adopt. Michiela said: "She asked us to identify boys only, which we have done after visiting four orphanages in Lilongwe."

Michiela also claimed Madonna - who has a nine-year-old daughter, Lourdes, from her relationship with fitness instructor Carlos Leon, and son Rocco, five, with her husband Guy Ritchie - had originally wanted to adopt a girl but changed her mind two weeks before her visit. However, Madonna's spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg, has denied the pop superstar is set to welcome an underprivileged child into her family.

Rosenberg said: "I can confirm Madonna is in Malawi on a private visit. She is building an orphanage and child care centre and is involved in other initiatives geared toward helping children orphaned by AIDS through the Raising Malawi organisation. "She has not adopted a baby, despite reports that she has."

During their stay, Madonna and her director husband will help launch the Network of Organisations for Orphans and Other Vulnerable Children. The 48-year-old singer has previously spoken about her plans to raise £1.6 million for her programme of Malawi projects.

Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston have reportedly split for good.

The couple met on the set of romantic comedy ‘The Break-Up’ - shortly after Jennifer split from ex-husband Brad Pitt – and were apparently besotted with one another.

The pair are alleged to have started arguing over Vince’s bachelor lifestyle, and the actor allegedly called time on their romance before flying to the UK to start shooting Christmas comedy ‘Joe Clause’. According to Us Weekly magazine, he told a friend in September: “It’s not common knowledge, but we’re not together anymore. We’ve split up.” Vince, 36, and Jennifer, 37, had a heart-to-heart telephone call after he arrived in London and the pair decided it was best for them to go their separate ways.

The former ‘Friends’ actress also cancelled a proposed trip to the UK capital to meet up with her former love. A source close to Jennifer confirmed: “They’re 100 percent done.”

It has been claimed that the fledgling rapper will receive the enormous sum from his millionaire wife if the marriage ends. It has also been alleged that the pair – who have been married for two years and have two sons, Sean Preston and Sutton Pierce, together – were on the verge of breaking up just before the ‘Toxic’ singer got pregnant for the second time.

A source told the New York Post newspaper “Britney was leaving Kevin but then got pregnant again. He would have gotten $10 million.”

Kevin - who has another son, Sean Preston, with Britney – was reportedly seen at top Vegas nightspot Tao knocking back drinks with friends while surrounded by a host of beautiful women.
An onlooker revealed: “Kevin booked a table at Tao for two nights.
“He was surrounded by women and was drinking a lot and dancing.”

Sharon Stone has been spotted canoodling with Jared Leto.

The 48-year-old actress and Leto, 34, were seen flirting at the opening of new Los Angeles club Area last Thursday (28.09.06).

Angelina Jolie’s son Maddox has a new soccer coach – David Beckham.

The ‘Tomb Raider’ actress and lover Brad Pitt have asked David to be Maddox’s private instructor because the five-year-old has showed such promise since enrolling at the David Beckham Soccer Academy, in Los Angeles.

Brad is now keen for his adopted son to have some private tuition with the former England captain so he can get even better.

A source revealed to Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “Brad has asked if there is any chance of David giving a one-one-one tutorial.”

Brad reportedly got in touch with David through former soccer star-turned-actor Vinnie Jones - his co-star in gangster movie ‘Snatch’.

Vinnie became good friends with David while he was in the US promoting his latest soccer school.

Brad let Vinnie know he was desperate for Maddox to have some private lessons with David and Vinnie passed the information on.

David and his wife Victoria – a former Spice Girl – are close friends with Tom Cruise and his fiancée Katie Holmes and are rumoured to be keen to move to the US once David leaves his current club Real Madrid.

George Michael insists he doesn’t “have a problem with drugs", despite being found slumped at the wheel of his car for the second time this year.
The former Wham star was discovered by police in a "semi-conscious state" in his Mercedes, which was obstructing a set of traffic lights in North West London, early on Sunday morning (01.10.06). Police also found a small amount of cannabis in his vehicle.

Michael was taken to the Royal Free Hospital, in Hampstead, for checks and was later cautioned for being unfit to drive and drug possession.

Despite his arrest, the singer issued a statement yesterday (02.10.06) denying he has a drug problem.

He said: "This is the second time in a year I have been caught with an unused spliff in my car.

"I had no drink or drugs on my body. I haven't got a problem with drugs."

In February, the 'Careless Whisper' singer was discovered slumped at the wheel of his car at London's Hyde Park Corner.

This latest episode occurred just one week into his current world tour, his first for fifteen years. A spokesman for Michael said that he does not plan to cancel any of the 50 dates.

Yesterday, the pop superstar and his partner Kenny Goss flew to Lyons, France, where he was due to perform.

Bruce Willis has threatened to “beat up” anybody who mocks him over his baldness.

The bald actor is not wearing a wig for his role as cop John McClane in the fourth ‘Die Hard’ movie, ‘Live Free or Die Hard’, because he wants to show that the character has aged.

Willis, 51, has issued a stern warning to anyone who is thinking about ridiculing his lack of locks.

He said: “I’m a man and I will beat up anybody who tries to tell me that I am not a man just because my hair is thinning.”

Willis is currently shooting the action movie in Baltimore, in the US.

It is scheduled for release next summer.

Meanwhile, Willis has revealed he wants to adopt.

The actor - who has three biological daughters with ex-wife Demi Moore - admits he would love to give a home a disadvantaged child but he doesn't want to do it on his own.

He recently said: "I would need somebody else in my life. I wouldn't want to just have a child and a nanny."
