Jean-Claude Van Damme had an affair with Kylie Minogue, he has claimed.

The action hero said he romanced the diminutive pop star when the pair filmed the 1994 movie ‘Street Fighter’ together.
Although Van Damme regrets appearing in the much derided movie he is glad he did because he got to get up close and personal to Kylie.

He revealed: “‘Street Fighter’ was corny to me. But there were nice things. I got to see the land of Australia and had a mini-affair with Kylie Minogue. If you ever see her, say hello for me to Kylie.”

Britney Spears wants ex-lover Justin Timberlake back, it has been claimed.

The ‘Toxic’ singer – who lost her virginity to Justin – is desperate to rekindle her romance with the ‘SexyBack’ singer now she has filed for divorce from Kevin Federline and he has split from Cameron Diaz.

A source said: “Britney would love to have Justin back. They still talk a lot and she’s been telling friends for months about how good Justin was for her.”

Michael Jackson is being urged to convert to Islam, by brother Jermaine.

Jermaine - who finished second in British TV reality show ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ last week - says the religion will protect Michael from “false” attacks.

Jermaine sad: “Michael needs to become a Muslim. I think it’s a great protection for him from all the things that he’s been attacked with, which are false. Michael has given conversion some serious thought.”

Jermaine convinced Michael to leave the US after he was acquitted of child molestation charges and move to Bahrain. He said: “There’s a strength and protection in Bahrain.I was the reason he went there.

Katie Holmes has turned down a $2 million deal to star in the sequel to 'Batman Begins'.

The actress was expected to reprise her role as Rachel Dawes alongside caped crusader Christian Bale for 'Batman: The Dark Knight' but has pulled out because of "scheduling conflicts".

Rumours have already circulated that Katie has been replaced by 'Wedding Crashers' actress Rachel McAdams for the comic-book adventure, also starring Heath Ledger as The Joker.

Katie has instead signed up to star alongside Queen Latifah in the comedy 'Mad Money'. The movie - to be directed by Callie Khouri - follows three female janitors working at the Federal Reserve who plot a major heist.

Eddie Murphy avoided the London premiere of 'Dreamgirls' because he was scared of Mel B fans, it has been alleged.

The 'Nutty Professor' star won the Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe for his role in the film, but didn't promote the movie in the UK because he didn't want to be confronted by Spice Girls fans angry at the way he dumped pregnant Mel.

A source revealed: "London is her turf, and Eddie knows Mel has a loyal fan base. He's afraid the UK's reaction to him won't be good because of what he did to her."

The 45-year-old actor publicly dumped six-months-pregnant Mel on a Dutch talk show and has demanded a paternity test to prove he is the father of her baby.

A spokesman for Eddie said: "He very much wanted to come to the UK premiere. Eddie not attending the UK premiere of 'Dreamgirls' had nothing to do with Ms. Brown or anything else. He was looking forward to going."

Angelina Jolie’s mother Marcheline Bertrand has died.

Marcheline, who had been battling ovarian cancer for more than seven years, was with her son James Haven, Angelina and her partner Brad Pitt when she passed away aged 56 on Saturday (27.01.07).

Angelina dashed across America to be with her mother when she heard her condition had worsened.

She arrived at her mother’s bedside in Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center at 4pm on Saturday (27.01.07), four hours before Marcheline died at 8pm.

Marcheline had small roles in 1982 movie ‘Lookin’ to Get Out’ and ‘The Man Who Loved Women’ in 1983.

Dreamgirls set for Oscar bonanza

Musical extravaganza 'Dreamgirls' looks set to sweep the board at this year's Oscars with an incredible eight nominations.

The movie has three nods in the Best Music (song) category, for 'Listen', 'Patience' and 'Love You I Do', and is also up for Best Costume Design, Best Art Direction and Best Sound mixing.

Two of the film's stars Eddie Murphy and Jennifer Hudson were named in the Best Supporting Actor and Actress categories respectively.

Surprisingly, 'Dreamgirls - which also stars Beyoncé Knowles - wasn't nominated for Best Picture. It category will instead be contested by 'Babel',

'The Departed', 'Letters From Iwo Jima', 'Little Miss Sunshine' and 'The Queen'.
Three of Britain's most revered leading ladies, Dame Judi Dench, Kate Winslet and Dame Helen Mirren, have all been nominated for the Best Actress prize.

They will compete with Penelope Cruz and Academy Awards veteran Meryl Streep for the prestigious accolade.

Incredibly, Streep's performance in 'The Devil Wears Prada' brings her total Oscar nominations tally up to 14 - the greatest number for an actress in the event's history.

She has won on two occasions. In 1980 she took home the Best Supporting Actress prize for 'Kramer vs. Kramer' and in 1983 she scooped the Best Actress accolade for her performance in 'Sophie's Choice'.

Dench's 'Notes on a Scandal' co-star Cate Blanchett has been nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category.

Also nominated is 10-year-old Abigail Breslin, the young star of last year's hit comedy 'Little Miss Sunshine'. If Breslin takes the title, she will become the youngest Oscar winner ever.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Ryan Gosling, Peter O'Toole, Will Smith and Forest Whitaker are all up for Best Actor.

Martin Scorsese is once again up against Clint Eastwood for Best Director - the same rival who beat him to the award in 2004. Stephen Frears, Paul Greengrass and Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu will contest the two Hollywood heavyweights for the sought after statuette.

The 79th Academy Awards takes place on February 25th at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. This year's host is US comedienne and chat show host Ellen DeGeneres.

Paris and Jenna's virgin show

Paris Hilton and porn superstar Jenna Jameson have been invited to take part in a new reality TV show called 'Virgin Territory'.

The series will feature real life virgins and follow their quest to have sex for the first time. Paris and Jenna will help to educate the uninitiated contestants.

Producer Kevin Blatt said: "Paris and Jenna have been contacted about participating in the show.

"We will be unveiling giant billboards in Time Square and Los Angeles advertising for virgins to take part in the show.

"Finding virgins in New York or Los Angeles is no easy task."

Blatt is the man who turned Paris' homemade sex tape with ex-boyfriend Rick Solomon, which was originally leaked onto the internet, into the best selling porn DVD 'One Night in Paris'.

He predicts 'Virgin Territory' will be a smash hit and be watched by even more people than the millions who saw 'One Night In Paris'.

Jennifer Aniston's Friends kiss

Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox have shared a lesbian kiss on the set of new TV show 'Dirt'.

Jennifer is making a guest appearance on her former 'Friends' co-star's new show and will play a lesbian rival tabloid editor to Courteney's character.

'Dirt' producer Matthew Carnahan confirmed: "Jennifer Aniston will play a lesbian in her guest appearance in the season finale of 'Dirt' and will share a kiss with Courteney Cox. The episode will air on March 27."

The day after filming the episode last week Jennifer went under the knife to have a nose job.

She checked into the offices of plastic surgeon Raj Kanodia for an outpatient cosmetic procedure on her nose.

A representative for the actress said: "She had surgery on January 20 to correct a deviated septum that was incorrectly done more than 12 years ago."

Playboy snub for Kelly Osbourne

Hugh Hefner insists Kelly Osbourne will never appear in Playboy, because her body would need too much airbrushing.

The 22-year-old star, the daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, recently revealed she would love to pose for the legendary magazine.

But when asked if he'd give Kelly a centrefold by Britain's Closer magazine, Hugh replied: "I can't see it happening somehow - we don't airbrush to that extent."

Sir Paul McCartney has agreed to a £32 million divorce settlement with Heather Mills, it has been reported.

The Beatles legend reportedly settled out of court because he is desperate to keep details of the split private.
A source revealed: “This way Paul gets to have the divorce in private, which is all he ever wanted and Heather avoids risking her case falling apart.”

Kylie Minogue walked off stage on Saturday night (14.01.07) sparking new fears for her health.

The Australian singer, who beat breast cancer last year, was forced to cut short the latest concert on her ‘Showgirl Homecoming’ tour, in Manchester, after just 45 minutes telling fans she was ill with flu.

However, her early exit has left her friends and family concerned she is trying to do too much.

A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “It’s awoken some of our worst fears again. There are definite concerns she has taken on too much and can’t cope with this pace. Everyone gets flu from time to time. But during the initial months after beating cancer, it’s vital to keep well.

“When Kylie announced she wanted to tour again, there was concern among her friends and family that it was too much, too soon.” Kylie, 38, apologised to the 20,000 fans at Manchester’s MEN Arena for her early departure. The concert was her 29th show of a gruelling 33-date tour of the UK and Australia.

A spokesman for the venue said: “Kylie has a respiratory tract infection.”
Doctors have advised the diminutive pop star not to try to perform again too soon. Kylie has cancelled her shows scheduled for tonight (15.01.07) and Tuesday (16.01.07) but hopes to be well enough to return to stage soon.

Britney Spears and Isaac Cohen spent the night together in the Hugh Hefner suite of a Las Vegas hotel on Saturday night (13.01.07), it has been reported.

David Beckham decided to move to America to play soccer so he could get the best epilepsy treatment for his son Romeo.

David – who last week agreed a staggering £128 million deal with the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer club – has apparently been planning to move to the US for months because the world’s leading experts in the illness are based in Los Angeles.

The 31-year-old sports star and his former Spice Girl wife Victoria, 32, reportedly told friends they would move “to the ends of the earth” to get the best care for the four-year-old.

A source said: “The main reason for the move is Romeo. They are desperate to find a way to control his epilepsy and have been doing their research. DAVID BECKHAM IS LEAVING REAL MADRID TO MOVE TO THE LOS ANGELES GALAXY IN A REPUTED £128 MILLION DEAL.

David Beckham is leaving Real Madrid to move to the Los Angeles Galaxy in a reputed £128 million deal.
The former England captain is set to sign a five-year deal with the Major League Soccer club after his contract with Real Madrid expires on June 30 this year.
The incredible deal means that David will earn just under £500,000 a week for the duration of his contract.
He said in a statement: “This week Real Madrid asked me to make a decision regarding their offer to extend my contract. After considering several options to stay in Madrid or join other major British and European teams, I have decided to join LA Galaxy.”
The 31-year-old – who is married to former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham – used the occasion to thank his Spanish fans for all their support.
He said: “I would like to thank the supporters and people in Madrid who have made my family and I feel so welcome in my time here, something which has made this an extremely difficult decision to make. I have enjoyed my time in Spain enormously and I am extremely grateful to the club for giving me the opportunity to play for such a great team and their amazing fans.”
Real Madrid – who signed David after he left Manchester United in July 2003 – confirmed his departure.
A statement issued by the club read: “Both parties have agreed that David Beckham will not extend his current contact.”

The 'Toxic' singer was driving off after withdrawing a large amount of money from a cash machine on Wednesday (10.01.07) when she came to a stop at a Los Angles intersection.
While her car was stationary a homeless man approached and knocked on the window.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: "Britney rolled down the window and handed the guy $300. She said, 'Good luck and happy New Year!'
"The guy almost had a heart attack."
Britney's generous payout is apparently all part of her new positive outlook for 2007.
The source added: "Britney wants to do good - for herself and the world. That's what she's all about this year.”

Britney owned three other chihuahuas, Lucky, Lacy and Bit Bit, when she was married to Kevin Federline. It is not known if she still has the pooches.

The footage of Steve Irwin’s tragic death has been destroyed, his widow Terri has revealed.
Terri was given the tapes of her late husband’s demise last week to prevent it being leaked onto the internet.
To make sure the film is never aired she has had it destroyed. Instead, the last footage fans will see of the ‘Crocodile Hunter’ will be the final wildlife documentary he recorded ‘Ocean's Deadliest’.
She said in an interview with US TV show Access Hollywood: “There are standard protocols for examining certain evidence and that's no longer necessary, so we're very proud that Steve's last documentary is going to air and that's his last footage with wildlife.”
When asked is she had kept the grisly tape, Terri answered: “Oh no, all footage has been destroyed."
Steve died aged 44 last September after being stabbed in the chest by a stingray's poisonous barb while he was filming for ‘Ocean’s Deadliest’ off the Great Barrier Reef, in Australia.
The documentary will air in the US on January 21.
Meanwhile, Steve’s daughter Bindi has appeared on the ‘Ellen DeGeneres Show’.
The eight-year-old was a guest on the hugely popular US chat show and brought a special friend with her - a blue-tongued lizard.
Speaking to Ellen, Bindi said: “This is Spanky. He's ten. I just love animals. All animals, great or small. My dad really brought it out in me. He's the one that made me. I want to be like my dad. I want him to be proud of me."
Bindi - who has a younger brother, two-year-old Robert, affectionately referred to as Bob by Steve – is to follow in her dad’s footsteps and star in a wildlife series for the Discovery Kids network.

The 'Toxic' singer was contracted to appear at Los Angeles' PURE nightclub for their New Year festivities, but she was forced to leave early after reportedly fainting.

Club bosses are now demanding she hand back her appearance fee.

A source said: "The moment a celebrity gets into one of those deals they are on the clock. They are watched to the minute, and they are not allowed to leave early. It's a contractual obligation."

However, Britney's representative has dismissed the reports and a club spokeswoman has claimed her fee was "less than half" of the suggested $400,000 and insists she was not penalized for leaving early.

The spokeswoman said: "Britney had a great time. We love her and can't wait for her to come back."

Renée Zellweger wants to buy a gun to protect herself.

The actress - who stars as children's author Beatrix Potter in new movie 'Miss Potter' - has revealed she finds living alone "scary" and has considered buying a weapon to make her feel safer.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have come to an agreement over custody of their two sons for the month of January.

One-year-old Sean Preston and four-month-old Jayden James will live with Britney but with Kevin entitled to regular visits. The 28-year-old aspiring rapper will be allowed to see the boys three times a week for four hours between January 12 and January 31 at Britney’s home.

Both parties agreed that Britney, a nanny, Britney’s personal assistant and household staff may be present during the visits but no one may interfere with Kevin’s right to be with his sons.

Britney filed for divorce from Kevin on November 7. The court papers stated that she was seeking sole custody of her sons. Kevin filed his divorce papers the next day and also asked for sole custody.

No custody arrangements have yet been made for after January. Meanwhile, Britney has written a letter to her fans on her website, britneyspears.com, admitting that her recent behaviour has been “less than perfect” but promising that she will have a new album out this year.

She writes: “I know I've been far from perfect, but I want you all to know that I love my fans so much, and I appreciate everything you have done for me.

“The last couple of years have been very enlightening for me and now that I've had the time to be ‘me’, I've been able to sit down and think about where I want to go with myself as an entertainer. I am now more mature and feel like I am finally ‘free’.

“I've been working so hard on this new album and I can't wait for you all to hear it and to go on tour again!”

The 'Hero' singer has revealed her bedroom is a humidified chamber which keeps her vocal chords in the best possible condition.

Mariah told V magazine: "Literally, I'll have twenty humidifiers around the bed. Basically, it's like sleeping in a steam room. The bed is all terry-cloth, the ceiling is pitched so the water can't fall on my head, and it drips down to my side, and the TV is behind glass."

Dita Von Teese has filed for divorce from Marilyn Manson.

The goth rocker - real name Brian Warner - will be served with divorce papers on Friday (05.01.06) at the Los Angeles recording studio where he is working on his latest album.

Teese - who has been with Manson for seven years and married to him for a year - moved out of the marital home and filed for divorce before Christmas, citing irreconcilable differences.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "She really tried to make this work but he's not been responsive. She loved him so much, but he has too many demons. He can't even communicate with her at this point. She tried to tell him she was divorcing him, but she can't even get him on the phone. She moved out of the house and he hasn't even noticed."

Lindsay Lohan was rushed to hospital with appendicitis and had her appendix removed on Thursday (04.01.07).

The 'Mean Girls' actress called in sick to the set of her latest film 'I Know Who Killed Me' on Wednesday (03.01.07), believing she had flu.

She visited a doctor who carried out several tests and diagnosed appendicitis.

Lohan's representative Leslie Sloane Zelnik said on Thursday: "She does have appendicitis, and she is getting her appendix removed. There is no drama."

Kate Moss’ publicist has denied claims the supermodel married Pete Doherty in a Buddhist ceremony in Thailand.
It was reported that Kate and Pete had tied the knot in intimate surroundings on New Year’s Day (01.10.07) on the idyllic island of Phuket.
But Stuart Higgins, the catwalk queen’s publicist, has refuted the reports.
He said in a statement released on Tuesday (02.01.07): “Contrary to various entirely false media reports, there has not been any kind of marriage ceremony in Thailand. She is on holiday.”
A friend of Kate’s had already hinted the alleged nuptials were not what they at first appeared to be.
The pal said: "This was not likely to be a formal wedding because Kate would have wanted all her family and friends there. It is much more likely to be a symbolic gesture to show everyone just how serious they are about each other."
It was also reported that the model and the Babyshambles rocker were planning an official wedding in England on January 18, as the Thai ceremony would not have been legally binding in the UK.

“She loves the film ‘Titanic’, especially the scene where Kate Winslet’s character Rose gets painted in the nude. She wants it tastefully done, though, and is looking for the right artist to do it.”

The characters of ‘Desperate Housewives’ are being turned into dolls.
The five main women of Wisteria Lane - who are played by Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross and Nicollette Sheridan – are to have plastic likenesses of them made.
Each toy will be 16ins tall and come complete with its’ own unique outfit.
The range is being made by doll maker Madame Alexander, who in 2006 released a range of dolls based on classic Disney movie heroines.
The ‘Desperate Housewives’ range will be available towards the end of this year and the individual dolls of Bree Van de Kamp, played by Marcia, Gabrielle Solis, portrayed by Eva, Edie Britt, actress Nicollette, Felicity’s character Lynette Scavo, and Susan Mayer, who is played by Teri, will be showcased in the spring 2007 issue of Fashion Doll Quarterly magazine.

Sir Paul McCartney wants to bring his late Beatles bandmate John Lennon back from the grave on a new song.
Paul is said to be desperate to work on abandoned Lennon solo track ‘Now And Then’ and possibly release it as a single.
The musician originally wanted to add to the track when he and fellow former Beatles the late George Harrison and Ringo Starr reworked two other Lennon solo songs, ‘Free As A Bird’ and ‘Real Love’, for the Fab Four’s ‘Anthology’ albums in the mid-90s.
But George, who died from cancer in November 2001, put a stop to Paul’s plans because he didn’t think the track was good enough to warrant it being worked on.
A source told Britain’s Daily Express newspaper: “It has always bothered Paul a bit that they didn’t finish ‘Now And Then’. Although George wasn’t keen, Paul always felt the song had a lot of potential. He is now hoping to complete it, with him singing the harmonies to John’s lead vocal. It would be very moving to hear the two of them singing one last time.”
John Lennon was shot dead outside his Dakota apartment building, in New York, by crazed fan Mark Chapman in 1980.

Whitney Houston is set to auction off hundreds of famous stage outfits and accessories.
The singer – who recently filed for divorce from Bobby Brown – is selling bras, bustiers, bodysuits and evening dresses from her past tours.
Among the 400 items up for grabs are 13 Dolce and Gabbana sequinned bustier bras, a chair described as ‘Whitney’s Throne’, and a see-through grand piano worth an estimated $400,000.
The pop diva is also selling off musical instruments and props used in her shows, including drums, a slot machine and a leather whip.
Houston isn’t just auctioning her own possessions – 16 of her estranged husband’s music awards are also available to buy.
Houston’s publicist said: "The auction consists of old equipment from past tours that she doesn't need anymore. It's not unusual for artists to sell off staging and equipment not in use anymore."
However, it has been reported by the New York Daily News newspaper that a New Jersey company - that store Houston’s concert items - is auctioning the goods because she stopped paying storage bills in 2005.
Jeffrey Campisi, attorney for Speed of Sound, claims Houston’s company Nippy Inc. owes his client an estimated $200,000 in unpaid storage.
This isn’t the first time Houston has suffered financial difficulties recently.
Houston came close to losing her $6 million New Jersey 10-acre estate last year after owing thousands of dollars in back taxes.
She avoided foreclosure on the property by paying off the debt last week.
The auction will be held in New Jersey on Tuesday (09.01.07).
