Naomi Campbell was hospitalised on Sunday (24.02.08) to have a cyst removed.

The supermodel was admitted to Brazil's Sirio Libanes Hospital, in Sao Paulo, where she underwent surgery on her stomach the following day.
Her spokeswoman said: "Naomi Campbell was admitted to hospital to have a small cyst removed.

"Following the successful procedure, she is now resting and is looking forward to getting back to work. She would like to thank the doctors who have kindly looked after her."

Josi Aristodemo Pinotti, the doctor who operated on Naomi, added: "I'm not authorised to reveal what Naomi had, not even how serious the condition, but I can say she was operated on and is completely cured.”

Michael Jackson's Neverland ranch is set to be sold at auction.

The singer's fantastic property will go under the hammer on March 19 in California's Santa Barbara's courthouse unless he can raise a staggering $24.5 million to pay off a loan.

As well as the sprawling ranch, the prospective buyer will secure everything inside the property - including all fixtures, appliances, furniture, rides, games and "all merry go round devices".

If no-one meets the auction asking price, Fortress Investments - who originally loaned 'Thriller' star Michael $300 million to pay off his debts - are likely to take possession of the 2,800 acre property and sell it though a Santa Barbara real estate broker.

Angelina Jolie wants to raise her unborn baby in France as a tribute to her late French-Canadian mother.

The 32-year-old actress - who is expecting her second biological child with partner Brad Pitt - wants to move her family abroad before she gives birth this summer.

A source said: "Angelina is proud of her French roots and wants her latest addition to be born and raised there."

Angelina, who also has three adopted children with Brad, has been seriously thinking about the dramatic lifestyle change ever since her mother Marcheline Bertrand died of ovarian cancer in January 2007.

DANIEL DAY-LEWIS WAS 'KNIGHTED' BY DAME HELEN MIRREN AS HE WAS NAMED BEST ACTOR AT LAST NIGHT'S OSCARS (24.02.08).

Daniel Day-Lewis was 'knighted' by Dame Helen Mirren as he was named Best Actor at last night's Oscars (24.02.08).

The 50-year-old star was recognised for his role in 'There Will Be Blood' and when he collected the award he knelt before Mirren, who was named last year's Best Actress for her portrayal of Britain's Queen Elizabeth in 'The Queen'.

Britney Spears' parents claim their daughter's life is at risk following her release from hospital yesterday (06.02.08).

Jamie and Lynne Spears are "extremely disappointed" the troubled singer was allowed to leave Los Angeles' UCLA Medical Center on the recommendation of her psychiatrist.

Jamie and Lynne - who are divorced - said in a joint statement: "As parents of an adult child in the throes of a mental health crisis, we were extremely disappointed to learn that over the recommendation of her treating psychiatrist, our daughter Britney was released from the hospital that could best care for her and keep her safe.

"We are deeply concerned about our daughter's safety and vulnerability and we believe her life is presently at risk. There are conservatorship orders in place created to protect our daughter that are being blatantly disregarded. We ask only that the court's orders be enforced so that a tragedy may be averted."

Britney, 26, left the facility yesterday surrounded by private security guards but without the police escort that accompanied her when she was admitted last Thursday (31.01.08).

A source said: "Kelly has always been there for Amy, they are very close. When Amy went into rehab, it was Kelly who picked out clothes to take in from her London flat. "The cottage is perfect. And there will be no temptations like there are in London.

Amy Winehouse was questioned by police yesterday (05.02.08) over a video of her allegedly smoking crack cocaine.

The troubled singer was interviewed for two hours at a London rehab clinic, where she is receiving treatment for her drug addictions, after officers received a complaint about the footage. A source said: "She was not arrested. She is co-operating with police."

Amy's chances of performing at this weekend's Grammys look slim because she needs a visa to enter the US for the prestigious event. Amy - who is nominated for six awards - must prove she is taking rehab seriously in order to be considered to enter the country.

Britney Spears' manager Sam Lutfi frequently drugged her, according to the star's mother.

In a six-page declaration submitted as evidence for the restraining order against Lutfi, the singer’s mother Lynne accused him of grinding up pills Britney takes for her bipolar disorder and putting them in her food.

Lynne said: "Sam told me that he grinds up Britney's pills, which were on the counter and included Risperdol and Seroquel.

"He told us that he puts them in her food and that was the reason she had been quiet for the last three days. She had been sleeping. He told us that the doctor who is treating her now is trying to get her into a sleep-induced coma so that they could give her drugs to heal her brain.

Britney Spears is "on the edge" after discovering sex tapes were stolen from her Beverly Hills home.

The troubled singer - who is currently undergoing psychiatric treatment at Los Angeles' UCLA Medical Center - is said to be terrified that "valuable items" taken from her sprawling mansion on Friday night (01.02.08) included X-rated footage of her taking drugs and having sex.

A source close to the singer said: "This is the last thing Britney needs. She's on the edge because all her secrets could now be revealed. Some of the things that may have been taken are dynamite." This would not be the first time Britney has been involved in a sex tape scandal.

Footage apparently showing the singer performing oral sex on ex-husband Kevin Federline was leaked on the internet last year, but was eventually classed as fake.

More recently, there were reports of Britney, 26, starring in another sex tape where she sported a shaven head and performed a sex act on two women and a man while consuming cocaine and marijuana. However, the footage was never made public.

Los Angeles Police Department officer Alex Martinez confirmed police had responded to a call originating from Britney's house, but said he had no idea what had happened, adding: "The report is being processed through our system. We do not have access to it."

Meanwhile, Britney - who was involuntarily committed to the Stewart and Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA last week after being classed as G.D. (gravely disabled) - will now spend an additional 14 days in the ward, after her psychiatrist deemed she wasn't well enough to leave.
